Asyk

This beautiful heart pendant is based on the Turkmenistan Asyks that women wore traditionally covered on the back and were very large sometimes up to 12 inches long. They were given to a woman on her wedding day by the groom's parents and were a fertility symbol set with carnelian, a stone of good luck. I have recreated this piece of jewelry for the modern woman to wear on the front as a necklace.
